Ryan Neilson fondly remembers his childhood in Liverpool, Nova Scotia. When he wasn't singing along to songs on the radio, he was participating in his elementary school choir and avoiding his mother's persuasion to play the piano. This undoubtedly played a small part in his future decision to spend the most dedicated four years of his life studying guitar and music composition, and ironically learning how to play piano in the process. Award-winning songwriter Gordie Sampson recorded his latest CD, For The Few And Far Between in Cape Breton, Halifax and Nashville. Contributors included some of Nashville's hottest players along with members of Symphony Nova Scotia.
